notetaking
If you offer an in-house training session on minute-taking, the chances are that it covers all the information on agenda and preparation of useful minutes. You will probably also give guidance on taking notes and how to write them up, drawing out the three aspects of every action.
However, there is a difference between advising people to do it and explaining the techniques, and actually developing their skills and confidence in doing it. That’s where Introduction to notetaking can help.
This half-day session is designed to run alongside your in-house session. It is practical, hands-on training, working with audio recordings of meetings.
Delegates will take notes and learn the process for moving from scribble on the page to professional minutes. They’ll put the principles of minute-taking from your training into practice. The session can incorporate your standard layouts if required.
This session is not a replacement for our Minutes Made Easy as it assumes that the principles of minute-taking are already known. The focus is on the actual noting and writing up of minutes

I was absolutely delighted with the training which has made a real difference to my minute taking – even now, after thirty years of doing them. I am now relaxed and confident and know I don’t have to flog away and get everything down… our Team Secretary attended with me and she is, at this very moment, taking minutes at a fairly complicated gathering – something she couldn’t have done without your input.
