minutes made easy
Anyone can be called on to take minutes and most people get ‘thrown in the deep end’. It is a skill that many assume a secretary or administrator has, but this is often not the case as even secretarial colleges seldom teach this useful skill. Many committees do not have the luxury of having a someone to take notes, so the task falls to a member of the group. It is difficult to write as well as contribute and few people know what to look for when taking the minutes. This course gives delegates the skills and confidence to take relevant notes and to present them as useful minutes. The course is accredited by the Institute of Commercial Management (more info)

managing meetings
Meetings are a part of everyday working life and sometimes seem to be the purpose, rather than the means to an end. If meetings are to meet their objectives, they need to be chaired professionally with participants contributing appropriately. However, few of those who chair meetings have any training or support and as a result time and money are wasted. This half-day course aims to give delegates the skills and confidence to set up, run and contribute to meetings effectively.

freedom of information act
All the principles advocated in our training will ensure that the minutes can disclosed under the act if necessary and extra detail and emphasis on the act can be included if requred.
In addition, we offer a one-and-a-half hour session on making minutes appropriate for disclosure for those who do not full training in minute-taking.
